Regency Bookcase

A good quality Regency mahogany bookcase with attractive arched glazed doors above a pair of solid doors with matched figured veneers; extensive carved detail.

The glazed section has been reduced in height by about 5" and the feet restored

Provenance: No. 6, The Circus Bath: The Circus was deisigned by John Wood but each house was built to the individual specification of the purchasers of the plots, thus they are all completely different. No. 6 was built for Lady Lucy Stanhope, No.5 for the Earl of Stanhope, and No.7 for William Pitt who was her cousin.
