An attractive large Biedermeier neo-classical pier glass with handsome giltwood eagle pediment and pilasters with Egyptian heads and feet. The timber is probably walnut, possibly fruit wood.

A small number of the gilded leaves are later replacements and some of the gilding is a little worn but otherwise in good original condition.
