A good set of 12 mid-nineteenth century dining chairs, probably Northern European, maybe Danish; in mahogany with the fronts handsomely inlaid with acanthus decoration in ebony and brass; elegant tub-shaped form and very comfortable to sit on; in excellent condition, though the seats need new top covers.
Previous owners have fitted metal brackets inside the seat rails so the chairs are very stable
