A handsome George III Chippendale period mahogany tripod table: the octagonal top with laminated and pierced gallery, well-carved stem, legs and claw feet.
Good colour and patina/country house condition.

It is possible that some of the carving on the stem was added in the 19th century though given the wear and old patination I believe it to be original.
