George III sideboard in the manner of Thomas Sheraton

A fine quality George III serpentine sideboard in the manner of Thomas Sheraton: figured mahogany with tulip wood cross-banding and attractive inlays including ovals to the lower drawers and boxwood cock-beading which extend to the depth of the drawer fronts; the front legs also inlaid in boxwood and partridge wood. The drawers partly lined in mahogany as is the cupboard disguised as bottom left drawer and the recess below the centre drawer. The top is in figured mahogany with a generous depth of tulipwood banding. The handles replaced in the correct style.
The is one of the best sideboards we have owned.
