Regency Mahogany Centre Table in the manner of Gillows
A fine Regency mahogany centre table in the manner of Gillows of Lancaster; the four-splay reeded sabre leg base with turned pillar; the figured mahogany top with kingwood cross-banding and boxwood and ebony stringing; the carcase fronts with mahogany cross-banding and ebony stringing and the drawer fronts in fiddle-grain mahogany and attractive ebony inlay; all eight mahogany-lined drawers open with two fitted for writing implements.
My parents bought this fine table in Bath 50 years ago; it stood on their landing at Seend house for many years.
