A Queen Anne period burr walnut chest on stand with exceptional figured veneers and herringbone banding; good original colour and patina and with cross-grain mouldings. The bottom drawer is original but the bracket feet are probably late 18th century and the chest was once on a wavy-stretcher stand. The engraved handles are old but not original. Good quality panelled back and oak lined drawers.
